Results of Preliminary I n v e s t i g a t i o n of S i t i o Pedregal Area de Conservacion Guanacaste

Abstract

Proyecto Arqueologico Volcan Orosi (PAVO) investigated the prehispanic rock a r t s i t e of S i t i o Pedregal (G-540 Pd) located on the west side of Orosi Volcano, Guanacaste Nacional Park, Area de Conservacion Guanacaste (ACG). The f i r s t f i e l d season began with a crew composed of Director and Co-Principal I n v e s t i g a t o r E l l e n Hardy, Ph.D.; Co-Principal Investigator Master Ricardo Vazquez, L i e ; four archaeology students from U n i v e r s i t y of C a l i f o r n i a, Santa Cruz, E l i z a b e t h Wolf, Geoffrey King, Anita Hall and Nathan Craig; two Costa Rican archaeology students, Tatiana Hidalgo and Sr. Eloy; and an accomplished volunteer, Dejon D i l l o n.
